Comme promis, voici la deuxième partie des interviews du crew NeurofunkGrid présent lors de l’édition du Let it Roll 2016 ! (partie 1 de l’interview ici même).

Comment s’est passé ton set, comment as-tu trouvé le public et l’ambiance sur place ?
Signs : Quand on a appris qu’on jouerait au Let It Roll on était comme des oufs ! On ne s’y attendait pas, du coup celà a été une bonne grosse surprise. Au passage, spécial big up à Céline et NFG qui nous ont permît d’y jouer. Une fois arrivés sur site, on s’est éclaté ! L’ambiance était dingue et le public complètement fou. Avec en prime MC Nuklear qui s’invite sur notre set et l’anime tout le long : juste énorme !!!
Nickbee : Mon mix était complètement fou, je suis très content car le public était très réceptif aux musiques que je jouais, étant donné que j’avais préparé un mix avec mes tracks principalement.
Akov : Le public était incroyable, tout comme les artistes qui partageaient la scène. Le public était comme une famille, ils restaient du début jusqu’à la fin et je n’ai pas vu une seule personne rester immobile !
Cruk : Tous nos sets se sont très bien passés, c’était un honneur de jouer pour un public aussi incroyable qui semblait réellement apprécier l’énergie qu’on leur donnait. L’ambiance était irréelle surtout avec la plupart du NFG crew sur la scène toute la nuit, une soirée inoubliable.
Khronos : Mon set s’est déroulé à merveille, des gens sont venus me dire qu’ils ont adoré, je n’aurais pas pu espérer mieux.
Innate MC : J’ai été MC sur plusieurs sets au travers de cette soirée NFG. C’était beaucoup de travail mais aussi un grand plaisir ! L’ambiance et l’énergie étaient incroyables, c’est une chose importante pour performer sur scène.
Peut-on parler de consécration ?
Signs : Parler de consécration c’est peut-être un peu fort. Mais c’était notre première au Lit It Roll en tant qu’artistes et ça restera gravé dans nos mémoires.
Nickbee : Oui, on peut dire ça, car si tu es un amoureux de la Drum et que tu aimerais voir tout les djs que tu adore en un seul lieu, le Let It Roll est l’endroit parfait pour ça, l’ambiance y est géniale !
Akov : Oui j’imagine qu’on peut appeler ça une consécration, notre scène était l’Eglise pour tous les vrais extrémistes de la NeuroFunk !
Cruk : Oui j’imagine qu’on peut parler de consécration, cet événement est un peu comme le temple de la Drum & Bass. En gros c’est un peu comme la scène de la grande fête à Zion dans Matrix mais avec de la grosse Neurofunk plutôt que de la Hard House.
Khronos : Oui complètement, c’est vraiment surréaliste * rires *. Ca serait génial de revenir l’année prochaine.
Innate MC : Oui très certainement ! C’était un grand privilège de faire partie de ce festival exceptionnel. C’est quelque chose que je n’oublierai jamais !
Une anecdote ou un fait marquant sur votre expérience en tant qu’artiste ou spectateur lors de cette édition ?
Signs : Il y a pas mal d’anecdotes ou de faits marquants quand tu passes trois jours au Let It Roll ! Pour n’en retenir qu’une en tant qu’artistes : le plaisir d’entendre nos morceaux sur les sounds du festoch’ et en tant que spectateur, la grosse claque Noisia ” Outer Edges “. C’était monstrueux !!!
Nickbee : Il y avait des backstages où tous les artistes mangeait et buvaient des bières, et à chaque fois que je voulais prendre de la viande dans le frigo, il n’y avait plus que des fruits 🙂
Akov : Mon moment le plus marquant était de jouer mes nouvelles musiques dans une tente remplie d’animaux. Sérieusement les gars, c’était un vrai zoo. Le Let It Roll est un de mes meilleurs live jusqu’à ce jour.
Cruk : Il y beaucoup trop de bon moments à mentionner ; le NFG Bus Party, le Underworld Stage le samedi, Mefjus qui joue ma musique sur le Main Stage, et c’était génial de finalement rencontrer quelque uns de mes idoles de la Drum & Bass. Cependant les meilleurs moments, c’était tout simplement de déconner avec l’équipe de NFG.
Khronos : Je pense qu’un de mes temps fort du festival serait A.M.C. qui joue ma musique sur le Main Stage. Elle a été jouée pendant le Bus Party aussi. Je croyais que c’était une musique de Spor qui était en train d’être jouée au début, mais j’ai ensuite réalisé que c’était ma musique Dark Wanderer 🙂 Et bien sûr, un gros big up à toute l’équipe d’ETG !
Innate MC : Le meilleur moment pour moi était d’être avec le crew NFG quasiment complet et de voir combien de personnes avaient l’occasion d’aller voir de gros artistes jouer mais ont choisis de venir et de nous supporter. C’était quelque chose de vraiment spécial pour moi !

As promised, here is the second part of the interviews of the NeurofunkGrid crew ! So you will find interviews of Signs (Toulouse, France), Nickbee (Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine), Akov (Totnes, England), Cruk (Sheffield, England), Khronos (Amsterdam, Holland) and the official MC of NFG : « Innate MC » (Luton, England).
How was your set, how did you find the audience and the atmosphere there ?
Signs : When we knew we were playing at LiR, we were like “fuckk offfffff”, we weren’t expecting that and it was such a good surprise. By the way, big up to Céline and NFG who allowed us to play there. On site, we had a lot of fun. A crazy atmosphere, a sick crowd plus MC Nuklear joining us during our set, and hosting it all long, that was big !!!
Nickbee : Well, all my mix was absolutely crazy, I’m really glad that people were feeling what I was playing, I prepared a mix with my tunes mostly.
Akov : The crowd was incredible, just like the artists who all shared the stage, everyone in the crowd were a huge family, they stayed from the beginning until the end and I didn’t see one person standing still.
Cruk : All of our sets went really well, it was humbling to play in for such an incredible audience who really seemed to enjoy the energy we were giving. The atmosphere was unreal especially with most of the NFG crew on the stage all night, unbelievable night.
Khronos : My set went awesome, People came to tell me they really liked it, couldn’t have hoped for a better experience.
Innate MC : Well, I actually hosted a number of sets throughout our NFG night so it was a lot of hard work but also a huge amount of fun! The atmosphere and energy were amazing and that is a main thing for me when performing on stage.
You played on the Let it Roll, can we talk of it as an ultimate « consecration » ?
Signs : Talking as a “consecration” is maybe a bit too much. But it was our first time at Let it Roll as artists and it will remain forever in our memories.
Nickbee : Yes , we can , for example if you are drum and bass lover and would like to see all the dj’s in one place, Let it Roll is the right place for that and great atmo.
Akov : I suppose you could compare it to a “consecration” yeah, our stage was church for all the pure neurofunk extremists.
Cuk : I guess you can yeah, the whole thing is kind of like a temple to drum and bass. It’s basically the Zion dance party in the matrix but with banging Neurofunk instead of Hard House.
Khronos : Definitely, it feels very surreal * laughs *.Would be sick if we will be there next year.
Innate MC : Yes most definitely! It was such a huge privilege to be apart of such an amazing festival – Something that I will never forget!
Any anecdote or highlight on your experience as an artist or spectator in this edition ?
Signs : There’s quite a lot of anecdotes or highlights when you spend 3 days at Let it Roll ! But to remain one as an artist, that would be the pleasure to hear our tunes on the festival Sound Systems and as a spectator, the big hit Noisia ”Outer Edges” Live show, it was terrific !!!
Nickbee : There was a backstage where all the dj’s were eating and drinking some beer, so all the time i wanted to take some meat from the fridge, there were only fruits left 🙂
Akov : My highlight was testing out my new tracks in a tent full of complete animals. Seriously you guys looked like a fucking zoo. Let it Roll is one of my best shows to date.
Cuk : Too many amazing moments to mention; the NFG bus party, the Underworld stage on Saturday, Mefjus dropping my track on the main stage, and was awesome to finally meet some of my drum and bass idols. Though the best moments were definitely just fucking around with the NFG team.
Khronos : I guess one of the highlights would be A.M.C. playing my track on the main.It got played on the bus too, I was lying in the tent when I thought There was a Spor track playing but then I realised it was my track Dark Wanderer. And of course big up to the whole ETG crew!
Innate MC : The main highlight for me was to be there with almost our full NFG crew and to see how many that had the option to see Noisia etc play but they chose to come and support us on our night – That was really something special for me.
